35-Hour Adult Residential Facility
Initial Certification Training Program (via LIVESTREAM)
4 Days I $399
Overview:
The purpose of this 35-hour initial certification course is to familiarize the learner with start-up and operational regulations for an Adult Residential Facility (ARF). This course is required to enable the participant to request to take the state exam to become an Adult Residential Facility Administrator. Course participants meet via LIVESTREAM each day. Class hours are from 8:00am to 6:30pm. Day 4 ends at 1:00pm.

√ Become familiar with the psychosocial needs of the residents living in an ARF and understand their individual needs.
√ Engage in interactive experiences focused on the regulatory requirements specific to an ARF and how to create a positive environment for those living in an ARF.

Adult Residential Facilities- $70
Preparing for the California State Exam? Purchase your very own copy of the state-approved manual. We do provide a digital version of the manual for each course participant, but we recommend the hard copy as a tool that can be used the day of your state assessment. We will mail your copy to your doorstep so you will have it for the training program, additional test prep, and on test-taking day.
Becoming an Adult Residential Facility Administrator means you will be operating a facility of any size capacity that provides 24-hour-a-day non-medical care and supervision to individuals ranging from 18 years of age through 59 years of age within the state of California.
The requirements to become a certified administrator for an Adult Residential Facility in California are listed below.
To start, all candidates are required to take a state approved 35-hour Initial Certification Training Program (ICTP). Check below to see our upcoming course dates.
Upon ARF ICTP course completion, all participants have 60 days to schedule their Administrator Certification Exam. Every applicant must pass the state exam within 3 attempts. Register for your exam HERE.
